What is the difference between Plan C and Craven LIVE?

Posted by:

Under Plan C, all students will be participating in remote learning until the Board decides it is safe to move back to Plan B. Currently, students will be operating under Plan C during the first 9 weeks of school (Oct. 2nd for Early Colleges & Oct. 16th for traditional schools). Prior to the end of the first 9 weeks, the Board of Education will make a decision based on the current local and state COVID health metrics whether it is safe to move back to Plan B for the 2nd 9 weeks. If so, we will start with Plan B schedule for face to face instruction, blended with remote instruction. If we are not in a safe position to return, we will continue under Plan C. Students participating in Plan C will have teachers assigned to them from their home school.

Craven LIVE is a 100% virtual learning opportunity for our students. Students enrolled will commit to this learning environment for at least the first semester with the ability to commit to the second semester in November. Students will have teachers assigned to them possibly from their home school or other teachers from the district. Craven LIVE teachers have been assigned to work in the virtual academy and are passionate about this online teaching and learning model.
