Title 1 Program

AWE is a School Wide Title 1 School, which means all teachers are Title 1 teachers and all students are Title 1 students. Title 1 is federally funded and the amount of funds received are based on the school's free and reduced lunch program.

AWE Title I also includes 1 interventionist/MCL, certified in the area Elementary Education, Angie Baylis.  Title 1 works with struggling students by using research based interventions to improve student learning.  The Role of MCL (Multi-Classroom Leader) is to assist teachers through co-teaching, planning, and assisting students in the classroom.
