All volunteers must go through a background check process before
they can volunteer in the school or go on a field trip. The volunteer
policy and background check process can be found on the Craven
County Schools website under the Students and Parents tab, or just
click on the link above. After reading the policy and filling out
the online application the site will direct you to print out background
check forms that must be filled out and mailed or faxed to Beverly
Fonville at Central Services on Trent Road. Feel free to turn these forms
in at the front office at BME to have them submitted for you. Once
approved you will receive an email, and an official name badge will
be made for you. It must be worn when volunteering in the school or
on field trips.
