Hello! My name is Ms. Davis and I teach Global Studies at West Craven Middle School. Global Studies is an exploratory class which means I work with sixth, seventh and eighth grade students. This is my first year teaching and I enjoy the topics of Social Studies, History, Geography and Political Science. Global Studies is an opportunity for me to touch on each of these topics but from a global perspective. I hope that each of my students leaves my classroom with a greater understanding and appreciation for other cultures, regions and people outside of their communities. When I'm not teaching I am spending time with my five children. I have three boys and two girls, they range in age from 13 to 3 years old. I like to say that we are always up for an "adventure"; we enjoy swimming, going to the beach and all outside activities. When we're not adventuring, you can usually find us at home, school, hanging around the house or visiting my parents. (Grandparents are such a joy!) I also enjoy kayaking, hiking and looking for fossils and shark teeth. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and dig in some dirt if I think I'll find a treasure.
