Hello!

My name is Emily Perry and I am teaching 6th grade ELA this year at West Craven Middle School. 

I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (Go Seahawks!) and have my BA in English with a concentration in Teacher Liscensure.

This is my first year at WCMS, but my 5th year teaching in total! I have taught in Onslow County Schools and Pitt County Schools (6th, 7th, and 8th grade).

I am passionate about reading and encourge my students to work on their reading skills - inside and outside of the classroom.

Here are a few of my favorite things:

- Hanging out with my family and my puppy, Sadie

- reading all different genres of books

- crocheting and crafting

- the beach
