Hi, I'm Ms. Lyons! This is my first year teaching at Graham A. Barden as well as a first year teacher. I grew up in New York and just moved to North Carolina this past summer. I earned my Bachelors in Early Childhood (Birth - Second Grade) and Childhood (First-Sixth Grade) Education in New York at SUNY New Paltz. When living in New York I worked as a preschool teacher for the recreation department of my town. Teaching has always been my dream and I am beyond excited to start my first year with your children! A little more about me is that I have four younger brothers and just got a puppy this summer. I enjoy spending time with famiy and friends, going on walks with my puppy, as well as working with students in the classroom. I look forward to watching and helping our students grow this school year!
