My name is Kayla Anderson, and this will be my fifth year of teaching. I previously taught in my home state of Alabama for four years before relocating to North Carolina in December 2022, due to my husband being stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in Havelock. We have been married for two years. We have a daughter, Evonna, and are expecting our first son, Liam, in December of this year. We also have a miniature austrailian shepherd, Sugar, and a cat, Yodi.

I genuinely love math and helping students gain a sense of accomplishment in the classroom. Seeing students achieve new goals and giving them problem-solving skills they can take with them after high school drives me as an educator. 

I look forward to getting to know each and every one of my students and having another fantastic year at NBHS. Go bears!
