Mrs. LaDonya S. Jules

Hi, I am the new school library media coordinator at Graham A. Barden Elementary School. This is my first year as a school librarian. I enjoy sharing books and promoting the love of reading with students.

I was born in Quitman, GA, and finished high school in Jasper, FL. I taught third grade for ten years in Tallahassee, FL, and I worked as a library associate for close to five years in a public library in Mobile, AL. After my family relocated to Havelock, I decided to merge my two career experiences to become a school librarian.

My husband and I have three children, a 22-year-old daughter who has just finished college with a bachelor of science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, a 16-year-old daughter who is a varsity cheerleader and soccer player at Havelock High, and a 9-year-old son, who loves basketball and just started his first season with the Havelock Youth Rams 10U football team. My hobbies are reading, crafting, and writing children's books in my free time. My goals for this school year at GAB are to lead for literacy and build a dynamic library collection!
