Mrs. LaDonya S. Jules
Hi, I am the school library media coordinator at Graham A. Barden Elementary School. This is my second year as a school librarian. I enjoy sharing books and promoting the love of reading with students.
I taught third grade for ten years in Tallahassee, FL, and I worked as a library associate for close to five years in a public library in Mobile, AL. After my family relocated to Havelock, I decided to merge my two career experiences to become a school librarian.
My husband and I have three children: a 23-year-old daughter who is currently working as a pharmacy technician before she applies for pharmacy school, a 17-year-old daughter who is a senior, varsity cheerleader, and soccer player at Havelock High, and a 10-year-old son, who loves basketball and just started his second season with the Havelock Youth Rams 10U football team.
My hobbies are reading, crafting, watching movies, and spending time with my family. In the near future, I plan to self-publish three children's book manuscripts that I have written. My goals for this school year at GAB are to increase the circulation and number of books read as well as add more hands-on/STEM activities, especially math games in the library!
