Hey Mustangs! 

I am so excited about beginning the 2022-2023 school year at Tucker Creek Middle School. This will be my first full year in the Craven County School District as well as my first full year in the teaching profession. I could not be more excited for this new chapter of my life to begin. 

I grew up in the Carteret County area and attended college at UNC Charlotte. After 5 years in the Charlotte area, I graduated from college in May of 2022. I am overjoyed to return to a community that provided me with so much encouragement and support as a student. I hope to provide a positive and encouraging learning environment to all of my students. My teaching philosophy is that music is for everyone, no matter what your background is or life aspirations. My goal as an educator is to create opportunities in the classroom for students to grow as musicians and offer literacy opportunities across curriculums. 

About Me:

When time and allow, I love to travel! Whether it be small in state trips or around the world trips. I think it is incredible how we can all live on the same earth but have completely different lives! I recently got back from a trip to Scotland and I loved every minute of it. I enjoy photography in my free time as well! I specifically have an interest in sunsets and landscapes! I also enjoy hiking, however, there are not many hills here so I love taking walks on the beach! I have a 4 year old black cat named Luna and she definitely loves cuddles and long naps!
