Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. April Mesa

I was born and raised in sunny Southern California. When I was in middle school, I played soccer and was a part of the AVID program. I went to Ventura High School where I learned that a traditional high school was not for me. I graduated from El Camino Independent Study High School where I had the opportunity to take college classes at the same time. After graduating high school, I went to California State University, Northridge where I earned my Bachlor's of Science in Business Administration.

I always had a passion for teaching and found myself coaching Soccer, Crossfit, and Olympic Weightlifting. As time went by I discovered my newest passion as a Registered Behavior Techinican. I spend 3 years working with kids who were diagnosed with Autism. My passion grew and I persued my Master's Degree in Education at National University.

I have a passion for helping students explore different paths they could take in their lives and I believe in the abilities of being one percent better everyday.
