Hello Students and Families,

     Born and raised in New Bern, I recently moved back from central Florida where I lived for almost 20 years with my family. It’s great to be back to my old stomping ground and reestablish my roots. I was married for 25 years (divorced for three) and have two boys, who stayed behind in Florida. Benton (22) works at Olive Garden in Lakeland, while Ethan (25) is a truck driver for J.J. Taylor Distributing in Tampa, Florida. They are my heart!

     This will be my third year as a Mustang at Tucker Creek Middle School, and my 18th year in the teaching profession. Having taught several grades, including Kg, 1st, 2nd, 6th, and 7th, I found my niche in middle school and have spent the last twelve years teaching 7th grade language arts, designing authentic learning experiences and building exceptional student relationships at the forefront. 

          I am excited to be a Tucker Creek Mustang again and look forward to working with you throughout the coming school year to make your child’s educational experience as meaningful and memorable as possible.
