Hello, Welcome to 2nd Grade!

My name is Amanda Evilsizor. This year will be my 1st year teaching 2nd grade. Last year I had the pleasure of working with 1st grade! This will be my second year at VFL, and I am so excited for this up comming school year. 

Prior to moving to North Carolina I lived in Michigan for most of my life. I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2012 with a Bachelors of Arts and Science. My main focus was in History, and I was blessed to travel over seas during the course of my education. I spent time in the Middle East working with different grade levels, and am so excited to bring that life experience into the classroom.  

I have a beautiful Husky named Khaleesi. I enjoy traveling, hiking, going to the beach, and anything that has a bit of adventure. 

Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I started at a very young age working with kids through camps, children's museums, and many other programs.  It is so rewarding to work with children, and inspirational educatiors.

When things happen that are challenges in life, we can always take steps and "adjust our sails" to modify and adapt to the circumstances.
