Welcome to my page!

I am so thankful to be part of the James W. Smith family as a 2nd grade teacher. This is going to be a great school year!

Here's a little about me. My name is Morgan Whitford Hill. I have lived in North Carolina my entire life. I grew up in Ernul, NC with my parents and little sister. I am a proud product of Craven County Schools. I attended Vanceboro Farm Life Elementary School, West Craven Middle School, and West Craven High School. I graduated from West Craven in 2016. After graduation, I went to Craven Community College for one year to work on my Associate in Arts degree. I transferred to ECU in the fall of 2017 to pursue Elementary Education. I graduated in May 2021 from ECU with my bachelor's in Elementary Education with a Mathematics concentration and a minor in business administration. 

In November 2020, I married my husband, Blaze. Together, we have one cat named Ellie. We spend most of our time with family and friends, especially our church family. We love vacationing in the NC and TN mountains when we are able to get away!

I am very excited to continue my teaching career in Craven County at James W. Smith. I cannot wait to grow my love of teaching and my students love of learning as we dive into the 2nd grade curriculum! Go Blue Jays!
