  • We will return to regular check-out when the Media Center reopens under normal operating hours.  Until then, check-out will be offered by mobile cart or through online holds.

    Book check-out
At the beginning of the year, every student checks out one book at a time while they re-learn the rules of the library (how to self check-in, where to place books on the temporary shelves, and how to use shelf markers). Once everyone is acclaimated to our library rules, students may check out books according to the following grade level specifics:

    Kindergarten - one book

    1st grade - one book
    2nd grade - two books
    3rd grade - three books
    4th grade  - three books
    5th grade - three books

Books and Magazines check out for two weeks.  All items can be renewed for an additional two weeks.
Overdue items should be returned or renewed.  If students have overdue items from other school libraries, we can send those back to the lending school through our Craven County Schools mail system.  Overdue notices can be printed upon request and at the end of the year.

New Books are marked with "New" stickers.  Each student is allowed to check-out only one "New" book at a time.

When searching for books in our library, be sure to write down the Call Number in order to find the books on the shelves.  Fic = Fiction, E = Everybody, and 000-999 refers to our Non-fiction collection.
