Mr. Preston Ridgell
Preston Ridgell started teaching at Havelock High School starting in 2017. He has received his bachelors degree in music education from East Carolina University, and has studied trombone under Nicki McCaslin, and Terry Mizesko.
He is a member of the National Association for Music Eduators, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Zeta Psi
Preston brings with him expereince as a performer and educator with several indoor percussion groups. As a performer, he was a part of West Johnston High School Indoor Drum Line (2010), Wake Forest Independent (2011 - 2013), and Forza East Independent (2014). Preston was also the visual caption head/Visual Consultant for Alchemy Independent, based in Fayetteville, North Carolina (2017-2019), and Brass Caption Head for the Carolina Gold Drum & Bugle Corps organization (2017).
Preston was a member of the 2015 Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps as a baritone player. Since 2015, he has been a visual technician at West Carteret High School in Morehead City, North Carolina. He spent the 2016 summer as a visual technician with the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps, and the 2017-2019 summers with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps

-Sevens by Samuel Hazo
Preston Has also began Adjudicating with the marching arts with the White Oak Band Classic in 2018
