Reading and MTSS Interventionist at Brinson Memorial Elementary School

Licensure: K-5, middle school English and Social Studies, high school English and History

As an interventionist, I work in small groups to help strengthen student's reading skills. I love working in small groups with students because it allows me to get to know my students better, both academically and personally. My students respond well in small group learning and they really appreciate the time and attention I am able to give to them and their learning.

I've been a North Carolina educator since 2005 with much of my teaching experience in 4th or 5th grade. This is my 2nd year as an Interventionist at Brinson Memorial Elementary and I am truly enjoying it. I have also taught at the college level, but my passion has always been with elementary-aged children. They are sweet, kind, and full of wonder and it is a blessing to teach your kiddos.
