Welcome to kindergarten, first, second, or third grade! This classroom is a multi-grade classroom.

I'm Ms. Almendarez (aka Ms. Val) This is my Sixth year teaching grades 1-3 in the Exceptional Children's Program here at Havelock Elementary School and my second year as a kindergarten teacher. I am very excited about seeing old faces and new faces! I'm originally from California. I have been living in North Carolina for 7 years now. 

I graduated from California State University of Fresno in 2013 with my Bachelor’s degree in Teaching and continued my education at East Carolina University to obtain my teaching license here in North Carolina. 

Some fun facts about me:

~One of my favorite hobbies is drawing/reading.

~I am a very creative and open-minded person.

~My favorite colors are black, green and purple.

~I have one fur baby, Kovu.
