WELCOME TO PRESCHOOL!! 2019-2020

I have the pleasure of teaching your "Croc" this year! This is my second year at J.T. Barber. I have 13 years of experience in early childhood education. I graduated from the University of Mount Olive (GO TROJANS) with a BS in Early Childhood Education, and I'm licensed Birth to Kindergarten. I am a New Bern native, and attended J'T. Barber when it was the junior high school. I am a mother of two wonderful children, my 13 year old daughter Sarah and my 7 year old son Stephen. 

My Co-Teacher, Mrs. Battle is also starting her second year at J.T. Barber. She has 16 years of experience in early childhood education. She has a AS in Early Childhood from Craven Community College (GO PANTHERS). She is a wife, and mother of two amazing young men, one of which attends J.T. Barber in the 5th grade. 

We both enjoy being around children and your children will become our children this year as we spend time together. We provide them with a safe, welcoming environment filled with love, laughs, and educational readiness for the future. We believe that all children are gifted and we strive to help them unwrap their gift. We vow to reach each child at their own level and help them reach beyond the goals that have been set for them this year.

We do not have homework, but we do ask that you read to your child each night, and ask them about their day.
