Dr. Roneca H. Wallace
Greetings Jets Family,
My name is Roneca Wallace. I was born and raised in New Bern, NC. I have roots in Havelock as well. I am also a product of the Craven County School System. My educational career began 21 years ago. I have taught in Pitt and Craven Counties. I've had the pleasure of teaching Kindergarten, First, Second, Third, and Fourth grades. Upon leaving the classroom, I've served in the capacity of a District Learning Systems Coach, elementary school assistant principal and high school assistant principal in Craven County Schools. During the 2011-2012 school year, I was selected as the Teacher of the Year for Craven County Schools.
My scholastic background includes a Bachelor’s in Social Work, a Master of Arts in Teaching, a Masters in School Administration, an Education Specialist Degree, and a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. I renewed my National Board Certification recently, demonstrating my continued commitment to teaching and the important work that happens with children in the classroom.
My husband is Tabari Wallace, 2018 North Carolina Principal of the Year and Special Advisor to the State Superintendent for Principal Engagement. We have one beautiful daughter and our fur baby, Gucci.
This is my 4th year at GAB. My goal is to ensure your child has a rigorous, yet engaging learning environment. I believe if we work together as a partnership, we can help our students grow and excel in every aspect of their lives.
Let's make the 2022-2023 school year the year we ignite the fuel to SOAR to NEW heights! We're going that extra degree at GAB!
