Assistant Principal Leilani Camden

Hello Everyone!

My name is Leilani Camden.  I serve as the Assistant Principal here at the best little school ever; Creekside Elementary!  I will begin my 3rd year here for the 20-21 school year.  This is one of my all time favorite places to be.  Your children are wonderful!  They make every single day lovely!

I have lived in Craven County almost all of my life.  My father was a Marine Corps Pilot and once he was stationed here, we never left.  I am a product of Craven County Schools and I am so proud to be able to say that.  This is a strong community where some of the finest people on the planet live.

I just completed my 24th year in education where I have worn several hats including High School French Teacher, Dropout Prevention Coordinator, Evening School Director and Assistant Principal at Havelock High School before I was able to come here to serve our little children who I love.   It is truly an honor to serve in our community.

I look forward to, hopefully, being able to see everyone again in the Fall.  But whichever path we are going to follow, be assured that your children will be in excellent hands and that our greatest goal is to see them grow academically, emotionally and socially.  We have the best teachers and staff at our little school who constantly amaze me with their dedication and diligence.

I look forward to our paths crossing soon!

We ALL go the extra mile for OUR Crocodiles!

Principal Angie Franks

The Desk of Mrs. Franks,

Hello to everyone and we thank you for visiting our website! This will be my fourth year as principal of Creekside Elementary. The last couple of years have been the most challenging for our Craven County Schools and their families. We have been impacted by Hurricane Florence and the COVID - 19 pandemic that have both been a challenge to our staff, students, families, and communities in which we live.

I am very proud to call Craven County my home and admire how our community continues to stay strong and  persevere through both of these different forms of life changing events that impacted our community. Through the COVID-19 epidemic many of our Creekside parents worked full time careers and then had to put on an educator hat when coming home to ensure their students were continuing to learn in a new digital remote environment.

Our motto has changed from….

”We go the EXTRA mile for our Crocodiles,”

Our Creekside Staff, Students, Parents, Families, and Community go the EXTRA mile for our Crocodiles!

Crocodile Smiles and Hugs,

Angela Franks
