Welcome to my page and to West Craven High School!

This will be my first year teaching at WCHS, and I couldn’t be more excited! I am a graduate of New Bern High School (don't hold that against me) and East Carolina University. I hold BA degrees in English and Philosophy and an MA degree in English Literature.

As my students will soon discover, I am a huge proponent of creative energy channeled in the classroom (key word: channeled). This will be a great year, and I expect each and every one of my students to grow, learn, and excel.

When I have spare time, I'll be found goofing around with my stepson Hugh, making my incredible wife Rebecca question what she got herself into (happy wife, happy life!), or watching a Washington Redskins football game—GO SKINS!

My students and I will learn much more about each other as the year progresses. I very much look forward to building a respectful, engaging classroom community that fosters learning in ways that positively exceed expectations. Wonderful things are in store for this year. Let's make it memorable!
