Welcome to First Grade 2023-24! Mrs. Edtisha Battle and I are excited to be teaching First Grade this year!

Allow me to tell you a little about myself:  I am originally from Whitmire, South Carolina.  New Bern has been my home since 1986. My husband is Milton E. Gold.  My son, Nick Putnam, lives in Raleigh, NC.  I also have 2 step-children, Kelly Gold Nehring and Casey Gold, as well as step-grandchildren.  We moved here to begin an Acrylic Yarn Company called Amital Spinning Corporation.  When my son went off to college, I went off to college.  I graduated from ECU in 2008 with a BS in Elementary Education.  I am certified to teach Reading in grades K-12.  Additionally, I am ESL certified.
