Mrs. Diane Bondurant
Welcome to Room 402 at James W. Smith. I am very excited about the 2020-2021 school year as I embark on my 12th year with the staff, students and community of JWS! We work hard every day in the EC classroom to grow greatness. Our class motto is Why try to fit in when you were born to stand out?. I teach an amazing group of creative and talented students that need that extra set of hands to find success. I am lucky to work beside Mrs. Rhonda Brown.
I was born and raised on a farm in Virginia. I try to bring my love for the outdoors into our classroom. I met and married my husband while teaching in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. We relocated to NC in 2001 to enjoy the natural beauty of the ocean a little more. I live in the small town of Bridgeton with my husband of 32 years. We have raised three talented daughters and now have two amazing granddaughters. When not at school, the B's love to be outdoors and spend a great deal of time hiking in the mountains, paddling in the local waters and soaking up the beauty of our backyard pond where you will catch me playing with our 2 dogs, 20 slider turtles and a bunch of bullfrogs!
