Bev McMillen
Hello!
I graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Criminal Justice and a concentration in Business and worked for 17 years as a legal secretary, paralegal and then office administrator for a firm in Greenville. I made the decision to pursue a career in education when my two children, Serge and Kelsey, were in middle school. I started working torwards licensure in Business Education at East Carolina University and began my career in education as a Business Education teacher at West Craven High in August 2004. I began serving as a Career Development Coordinator in August, 2013.
My family has lived in Vanceboro for 28 years. My husband, Todd, retired from Craven County Schools in 2016 after teaching Social Studies and serving as a coach, in administration, and Athletic Director at West Craven High. Our children are both graduates of West Craven High.
Career and Technical Education is so vital to our students as it helps prepare them for life after high school. I am passionate about working with the students, families, and the community of western Craven County. I enjoy working with our students and assisting them as they embark on their career aspirations and interests.
