I completed my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees at East Carolina University and my Post-Master's Degree at UNC-Greensboro.  I became National Board Certified, NBPTS, in 2017 and recertified in 2021.   I am a member of ASCA (American School Counselor Association) and NCSCA (North Carolina School Counselor Association).  This is my twenty-seventh year as a counselor and I have worked in high school, elementary school and for twenty years at Tucker Creek Middle School.  I thoroughly enjoy my work as a middle school counselor and love my students.

I understand military life as my husband is a retired Marine and was frequently deployed.  We have four children who have attended Craven County Schools.  

I believe that every student can succeed and see my role as part of a support system to help ALL students reach their potential.
