Welcome to Oaks Road Academy and welcome to 5th grade!  I am so glad that you are here and we can get this year rolling!  I am ready to get going!    Let me tell you a little about myself.  I have been teaching since 1991.  I actually began my career here at Oaks Road back in the day after graduating from ECU with a degree in K-6 Elementary Education and a  K-12 Reading certification.  I consider myself a North Carolina girl, being in this state since I was in 5th grade!  I am married, have two grown children, several cats, and 3 chickens.  My hobbies are fishing, sewing, gardening, and reading.  I am looking forward to getting to know my new class and helping to prepare them for middle school.
