Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. William. Pierce

Hola, My name is Señor Pierce.  Currently, I teach the honors and Advanced Placement Spanish classes at New Bern High.  I serve as the World Languages department chair and co-chair for our schools in-house beginning teachers mentor program (Green Bears).

I graduated from East Carolina University with a BS/BA in Spanish Education.   Before attending ECU, I attended the Universidad de Puerto Rico recinto Humacao with a BA in music concentrating in cello.

I have been teaching for 24 years.  It is one of the toughest jobs I have every had, but I love every moment.  I appreciate my students desire to learn Spanish.  To watch them grow in the language is amazing to see.  I am a firm believer in Global Learning.  I have the great opportunity to enhance/expound on students' global and cultural understanding.  I teach so that my students will be globally competent, competitive and aware.
