Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Norma Kelley

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Teaching Certification. I was one of the first two-year Teaching Fellows recipients.

I have lived in Craven County for over 20 years. In that time, I have been a parent, a volunteer, a substitute, and a teacher for Craven County Schools. I have learned over the past two decades that sometimes the most important people in our schools are the ones that the parents seldom see: the custodial staff, cafeteria staff, nurses, and volunteers. They do the work in support of the teachers and administration so that we can do our jobs more efficiently.

For this semester, students will need their iPad or a computer, paper, pencil, and graphing calculator (Ti-84 or lower number, a Casio 9750G/II or 9860G/II: There may be some available to check out in the library, or students can use Desmos until they are able to purchase a calculator).

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday are instructional days. Wednesdays students are online only, and teachers and support staff will have ongoing training.

I look forward to the 2020-2021 school year with your student. My email is You can also call the school at (252) 514-6400 and leave a message.
