Mrs. Cathy Bodle
Welcome, my name is Cathy Bodle. I am excited about the 2022-2023 school year as I embark on my 29th year of teaching in North Carolina. I have been a part of the VFL family for 20 years. I am a West Craven High graduate and a Craven County Native. I completed my master's degree in learning disabilities at ECU.
This year I will be providing instruction and support to students in kindergarten, first, second, fourth and fifth grades. I know that this year will have many challenges and new experiences for us all. I believe that by working together we can improve academic achievement for all our students. By providing access to 21st Century educational experiences and blended learning opportunities, the achievement gap in this diverse community can be closed. My instruction is guided by each student's individual learning needs.
I love to teach and my personal goal is to guide students to perform to the best of their ability. Learning is growing and everyone has the potential to achieve, if they are willing to work hard and try.
When not teaching, I love to travel and spend time with my family. We often visit the mountains of North Carolina hiking and enjoying the outdoors. I have two Golden Retrievers, SallyRose and Bentley. I love to read and am almost never without a book or my kindle in hand.
