Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Kelly Everett
Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! My name is Kelly Everett and I am looking forward to beginning my 16th year of teaching with my amazing students. I graduated from East Carolina University in 2002. . .GO PIRATES! Throughout, my educational career I have taught students in grades K-5 on the adaptive curriculum, provided early intervention in the preschool setting, and K-3 general curriculum. I have had the privlige of being apart of the Vanceboro Farm Life Family for 13 years.
As I begin the 2017-2018 school year, I will be providing services to students in first, second, and third grade. I have the opportunity to work with the general education teachers and provide services within the general education classoom. I also provide services within the resource setting. My services are driven by my students indvidualized educational needs.
The highlights of my career include: building relationships with familes, watching my students grow, and building a partnership with ECU by hosting a student intern. In order for my students to acheive their greatest success I need a strong partnership with their families. Parents are their child's strongest advocates and I want to partner with them to ensure every child's reachest their fullest potential. I truly belive it is important to celebrate every child's steps towards their goals because the little steps in the journey make the destination so much sweeter. One of my favorite parts of being a vetran teacher is working with future educators. This year my ECU intern will be Heather Aycock. I look forward to Miss Heather becoming apart of our classroom family.
On a personal note, I have been married to my amazing husband for 14 years and together we are raising three incredible children, three fur babies, and a two sweet guinea pigs. We enjoy being apart of all of their adventures and the journey our life is taking us on together.
