Mrs. Kelly Everett
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! My name is Kelly Everett and I am looking forward to beginning my 19th year of teaching with my amazing students. I graduated from East Carolina University in 2002. . .GO PIRATES! Throughout, my educational career I have taught students in grades K-5 on the adaptive curriculum, provided early intervention in the preschool setting, and K-5 general curriculum. I have had the privlige of being apart of the Vanceboro Farm Life Family for 16 years.
As I begin the 2020-2021 school year, I will be providing services to students in third, fourth, and fifth grade. I have the opportunity to work with the general education teachers and provide services within the general education classoom. I also provide services within the resource setting. My services are driven by my students indvidualized educational needs.
The highlights of my career include: building relationships with familes, watching my students grow, and building a partnership within our community. In order for my students to acheive their greatest success I need a strong partnership with their families. Parents are their child's strongest advocates and I want to partner with them to ensure every child's reachest their fullest potential. I truly belive it is important to celebrate every child's steps towards their goals because the little steps in the journey make the destination so much sweeter.
On a personal note, I have been married to my amazing husband for 18 years and together we are raising three incredible children and three. Our oldest daughter is entering her junior year at West Craven High School, our middle daughter is entering her freshman year at West Craven High School, and our son is finishing up his elementary career as a fifth grader at Vanceboro Farm Life. We our a family that truly believes the Westside is the Best Side!
