I'm Mrs. Baker, and I have been the art teacher at Havelock Elementary School for the last 8 years.  I began my teaching career at a private school in California.  There I taught 1st grade for three years and the upper grades for two years.  Then in 2012, my husband took a job at Cape Lookout National Seashore so we moved to the Crystal Coast area. Since then, he has retired and is busy working on home projects. We have two sons; one who graduated from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey after he spent 6yrs in the Navy. Our other son graduated from the University of Washington with a MS in Human Centered Design and Engineering and is a UX designer. Now instead of kids at home with have two little old poodles who keep us on our toes!

Since 2013 I began working for Craven County Schools and now I have one of the best jobs in the district as the art teacher for our wonderful school.
