I absolutely love teaching math!!! I also love working with and getting to know my students!!! Some of you may have heard someone say, "Oh, you are not a math person", or "Math must not be your thing!" Well, PLEASE do not let these statements define you. Math is developmental which means that our light bulbs do not all come on at the same time!! Mine came on LATE, so I feel your pain!! I feel that my struggle has made me a better teacher because I understand your frustrations with the subject. We WILL get through this together. Give all you have to give and never give up and I assure you that your lightbulb will come on!!

Those of you who attended HJ probable know my husband, Coach Lee. We have been married for 30 years and actually met at HJ!!! We have two grown children, Mary Grace and Sam. Mary Grace is a graduate of ECU and just recently finished her work with the Peace Corps. She lived for almost two years in eSwatini, a small monarchy in South Africa. She now lives in South Dakota as an infectionous disease intervention specialist. Sam is a graduate of Pitt Community College and works as a travel CAT Scan Technician in Chambersburg Pennsylvania. He and his fiance, Kelsey Miller, will be getting married in December and we are very excited about that!!!

This summer I finally made it to California. We spent about 9 days in San Francisco and I loved it so much that I would move there tomorrow if I could!! While there we went to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers who is one of my favorite bands. Where is your favorite place? I will be asking you to tell me some things about yourself in the first few days of school. I want you to be creative with the way you present your information!!
