Get to Know Mrs. Banks
I have been asked a few times for a classroom wish list. Thank you to all that are willing to donate.
I was born in New Mexico and moved to Georgia at a young age. I lived in Georgia for seventeen years and moved to New Bern to begin my career in 2012. I attended North Georgia College & State University where I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood/Special Education. I got married November 5, 2016 to my wonderful husband, Bradly Banks!
I taught first grade for six years and second grade for three years. This year I am taking on a ne adventure in third grade! Teaching is truly one of the biggest rewards. I can't imagine what it would be like without a classroom full of kids each morning. I love seeing each of their smiling faces every day.
Outside of teaching, I love being with my husband (Brad), dogs (Dixie and Callie), family and friends. They mean the world to me. Painting, Calligraphy, cruising on the boat, fishing, completing puzzles, and shopping at Hobby Lobby are just a few of the things I like to do in my spare time.
