I grew up in New Bern, NC and have always had a creative mind and passion for making visual arts. I can clearly remember my elementary art teacher inspiring me to hone my skills and develop my artistic voice and I hope to do the same for my students. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Art Education Certificate from Appalachian State University and have been working in Art Education since 2014. With creative challenges and skill building excercises, I hope the students take away from my class a sense of their own creative voice, confidence in making their own decisions, and have a lot of fun in the process.
