Mr. Matt Ipock is trained in Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, and Agriculture Technologies.  After several years working in the private sector as a research and technology specialist for agricultural applications in the area, Mr. Ipock continues to explore his passion for Earth and Environmental Science by guiding students at Early College EAST and Craven Early College.  Mr. Ipock graduated from NC State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, and earned a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hong Kong.  While living in Hong Kong, China during the mid-2000s, Mr. Ipock discovered a love for teaching while teaching English as a second language to local students.  His interests include reading, outdoor activities, following science news, and studying the Chinese language.  Mr. Ipock also has a deep curiosity about other places and cultures around the world.
