Hi!  My name is Michelle Sheaffer.  I grew up in the neighboring county of Pamlico, where I currently reside.  In the fall of 1993, I attended East Carolina University as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow.  I graduated in the spring of 1997 with a bachelors of science degree in Elementary Education.  This year, I am beginning my 26th year of teaching...23rd year here at Brinson (my second home)!  I currently teach first grade, but have spent time in 2nd (10 years), 3rd (7 years), 4th (1 year), and 6th (3 years).    

I am married to my husband of 24 years, Matt Sheaffer.  We have three awesome children, Jamison, Jackson, and Johnson, that keep us on the go!  When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, whether on an adventure of some sort, or just hanging out.   

I am looking forward to this upcoming school year and working with each and every family that enters OUR classroom!
