Welcome! My name is Meagan Richards and this will be my 12th year teaching 2nd grade here at Brinson Elementary.  I discovered BME while completing my college internship through East Carolina University. I feel so lucky to have found Brinson! The students and families have won my heart and I feel very privileged to work with such gifted colleagues.

I have been married to my husband, Chad, for fifteen years. We live in Beaufort County and both commute to work here in Craven County. We have a daughter, Joslyn, who is nine years old and will be a 4th grader here at Brinson this year. We love to spend our time outdoors with our dogs or on the softball field. 

I look forward to learning and growing with you as a teacher and fellow parent.

I strive to make my classroom a place where all students will grow in all areas, knowing they are important, safe and loved.
