Mrs. Sheila Lambert

Hi!! My name is Sheila Lambert and this will be my 15th  year of teaching.  I taught Kindergarten for one year, first grade for 10 years and fourth grade for three years. I am looking forward to a great 2020-2021 school year.

Here's a little about me: I am a New Bern native. I was born and raised here and attended Brinson Memorial, H.J. MacDonald, and NBHS. I was also a cheerleader at H. J. MacDonald and NBHS and still enjoy going to football games and cheering on my Alma Mater. Go BEARS!!! I am married and have three children unless you include my husband who is also a kid at heart. My oldest son, Lee, lives in Utah with his beautiful wife,  Missie and  my beautiful grand daughter, Rylee Elizabeth, who turned six years old on June 25th. He works in Civil Service on Hill Air Force Base .  I love being a Mimi. My youngest son, Tyler is a UNCW graduate with a degree in Accounting.  He got married this past April to his beautiful wife Christina. She is an outstanding cosmotologist.  They live in Wilmington, NC.  My daughter, Brooke, is a Junior at ECU and is studying to be a Speech and Language Pathologist.  I also have a dachshund named Bentley who keeps me pretty busy as well.

It is my hope that you and I can work together as a team to give your child a great school year.  I have found over my thirteen years of teaching that when a parent and teacher work side-by-side that students have a more successful year.  Please know that I am hear to educate your child in all aspects (educationally, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally).  I am very much a communicator and will keep informed of all aspects of your child's school life.  I do not consider my children a score!  My goal is to make sure your child is growing at THEIR developmental level.  Growth is the most important thing and not "being on a certain level."  My biggest joy is to watch my students grow in all aspects.

I look forward to working with you this school year and teaching and loving your child.
