Mrs. Fravor

Hi! My name is Jaime Fravor and I have been with Craven County Schools since August 2010. This is my sixth year teaching Exceptional Children's Program and I love every bit of it! Before becoming BDQ's EC teacher, I taught 1st grade for a year and K-2 ECP for two years at Graham A. Barden. Ever since I was a little girl I knew that I wanted to teach, and I love doing it.
I'm originally from a small town in upstate New York called Fulton, where we would get several feet of snow! Once I graduated high school I went to Daemen College which is a private college in Amherst, NY which is located in Buffalo, NY where I received a dual Bachelor's in Science degree for Childhood General Education and Childhood Special Education and a Master's degree in Special Education.
In the Spring of 2010 I moved down to North Carolina, where I married my high school sweetheart Rob and started our lives together.
In June of 2012, my husband and I welcomed our first child, a baby boy Robert, who is commonly known as "Bubba". In May of 2015, we welcomed our second child, our daughter Addison. Our children are our pride and joy and they have been an incredible blessings in our lives.  Along with our children we also have a Beagle Hound dog, named Buster. Buster, Bubba and Addison sure do like to keep us on our toes!!

I look forward to working with you and your child(ren)! I believe that every child has the right to the best education they can received and by working together as parents, teachers, and community we can make our children into future leaders!! :)

  • Daily Behavior Logs

Each night your child will bring home a purple folder with their daily behavior log. The behavior logs will inform you on how your child’s behavior was through out the day. Expectations for behavior logs are that parents initial the behavior log each night. This log will be used as a daily communication between teacher and parents. Please keep the logs in the folder, they will be collected each Monday as behavior data and will be put in your child’s file. **If you need copies of the logs please let us know and we will make you copies**

  • Behavior Policy

This year I will be using Class Dojo to log behavior.  With this program, you are able to sign up to receive immediate feedback about your child's day at school.  This program also allows you to contact me directly and efficiently with any questions or concerns – even when we are away from school! It also allows me to contact you throughout the school day with any questions or concerns. If you need the link to have access to the program please let me know!

  • Homework Policy

Beginning in October, your child will have homework assigned to them every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Homework assigned will be skills that are either being focused on in the classroom or skills that need to be reinforced. Please help your child with their homework, but please allow your child to do the writing on their own. You may help them by having them trace over your highlighted or dotted letters or you can write above and have them copy underneath. It is also a great idea to have your child read to you each night, or you read to your child and work on comprehension skills!!
