Being a teacher continues to be a wonderful life experience for me. I began teaching in 1993. I  am a native of New Bern and in 1975 I began Kindergarten at St. Paul's Catholic School. I attended Chatham Hall Preparatory School in Chatham, Virginia in 1984. I was accepted to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1988. Go Heels! I received my B.A in Elementary Education in 1992. My husband, Damon, and I have two daughters. Yvette is in the United States Navy. Danielle attends Lenoir Community College.  I have three dogs named Kirby, Coco Chanel #9, and Mr. Gunnor. I am involved in many church activities. I enjoy reading and playing the piano.
