ACT - Juniors Let's Register for the December Test!
Juniors - if you are eligible, you can receive fee waivers for the ACT during grades 11 and 12. What does this mean to you? You can test for FREE! The ACT costs $50 (without writing) and $67 (with writing).
We will be in room 608 during 2nd, 3rd, and 4th periods on October 21 assisting students with registering for the ACT that will be given in December. ACT Fee waivers will be available. It will take approximately 40 minutes to completely register for the ACT.
What do you need to bring or do beforehand:
-- Open a free ACT account (remember your username and password).
-- Bring an IPAD/Laptop
- Have four colleges in mind where you want your scores to go (select them while registering for the test -- they are free during registration -- you will have to pay later - $13.50).
-- You will need to upload a photo in order to finish your registration (you can start the registration process with us and go back later and upload a photo for your ACT ticket).
-- if you are not eligible for a fee waiver, you will have to pay in order to finish your registration (you can start the registration process with us and go back and pay later with your parent/guardian).
The December ACT is a good opportunity to test before the mandatory ACT that you will be given during the spring semester. Consider preparing early in order to have more testing opportunities before you start submitting college applications in your senior year. Remember that the ACT can be superscored.
Colleges that superscore the ACT will look at your highest individual test scores and calculate a new, composite score from across all your test dates. Your ACT Superscore is the average of your highest Math, Science, Reading and English test scores.
