Havelock High School’s math department strives to teach high quality mathematics that will develop our students' abilities to become problem solvers through a variety of mathematical methods and become confident in their numerical reasoning skills that will aid them in society. All students are afforded the equal opportunity to excel within the classroom, considering instruction is unique to each students’ needs.  

The following courses are offered:

• Foundations of Math I
• Math I
• Math 2
• Math 3
• Math 4
• Pre-calculus
• Discrete Math
• Calculus AB
• Calculus BC

*Honors level courses are available for Maths I, 2, and 3, and Pre-Calculus.    

Our department recommends that students purchase a TI-83 or TI-84 graphing calculator. If you are not able to purchase one, we do assign calculators in individual classrooms to students who need and request them.  However, these calculators stay in the teachers’ classroom and are not allowed to go home with students.
