My name is Erin Ridgeway.  This is my 7th year teaching in Craven County and my second year at Bangert!  Prior to moving to New Bern in 2017, I was a Special Education (EC) and Title 1 teacher in Virginia.

I grew up in Virginia. My father is a retired Principal and my mother is a retired teacher (44 years!) so I was destined to be a teacher. I graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and later a Masters degree in Special Education. My husband is a New Bern native and attended Bangert for Kindergarten and first grade. Our son will be 5 in November and our daughter turned 2 in July.  We have a Black Lab named Gunner. We enjoy being on the water and love being parents. I love to read and spend time outside especially gardening.  I am a fourth generation teacher and am so excited to be at Bangert again this year!
