    Standards:  

    Reading: RI.K.3: With prompting and support, describe the connection between two individuals, events, ideas, or pieces of information in a text.

    Reading: RI.K.9: With prompting and support, identify basic similarities in and differences between two texts on the same topic (e.g., in illustrations, descriptions, or procedures).

    Language: L.K.1B- use nouns, adjectives, and verbs

    Writing: W.K.2- Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to compose informative/explanatory texts in which they name what they are writing about and supply some information about the topic.

    Math: NC.K.OA.2 Solve addition and subtraction word problems, within 10, using objects or drawings to represent the problem

    Math: NC.K.OA.5 Demonstrate fluency with addition and subtraction within 5

    Science: K.E.1- Understand change and observable patterns of weather that occur from day to day and throughout the year.

    Sight words: has, see, all, do, for, are, out, ate, at, ran

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Homework will be given for the week each Monday. It is not due until Friday. If your child is absent on Monday, their homework will be in their mailbox for when they return. Homework should never take your child more than a couple of minutes to complete. If your child struggles with the homework, please let me know so I can tailor it to meet your child's needs. A part of homework is you reading to your child each night. Children learn to read and become introduced to many new words when a parent/guardian reads to them daily. It is also a wonderful bonding time with your child! If you ever need a book to read to your child, please let me know and I can send a book home with them.
