Mr. Germain has 33 years in Education, 23 dedicated years in School Administration.

His Administrative Experience includes:
Assistant Principal and Principal in Craven County Schools during 2001-2004, where he worked at Graham Barden Elementary & Grover C. Fields Middle School. He served as Principal, Gaston County Schools from 2004-2015, where he was consecutively nominated and a top five finalist for Gaston County Schools principal of the year 2011-13.  He has been the principal at Brinson Elementary School for the past 6 years.

At home Mr. Germain has twin daughters, Ryan and Claire who are seniors in high school. He also has two grown children, Solomon who is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and Addison who is a graduate of NC State University.  He is a volunteer with the Town of Newport where he serves on the Planning Board Committee and is a member of his HOA as a board member.  When he is not busy with work, volunteering or family, he enjoys the solitude of fishing.
