  • Confidentiality

Confidentiality is the basis of an effective counseling relationship.  Counselors have a responsibility to protect the privileged information received through confidential relationships with students, parents or guardians and with staff. Such information is only to be revealed to others with the student’s informed consent.  So to sum it up "What is said in the Counseling Office, stays in the Counseling Office. . .unless you or someone else is getting hurt."
