  • Weekly Ram News!!

Good evening, Rams!!  What a beautiful weekend this has been....I hope you all had the opportunity to enjoy some sunshine.

Let's start with a few reminders:

ACT testing (Juniors) continues on Wednesday with students last names K-Z.  Last week's testing group had excellent attendance and we are looking forward to more of the same.  Don't forget that ACT prep materials are located in Canvas.  Students should arrive on campus at 7:15 with a mask.  Contact Mr. Reifsnyder with questions.

The counseling team is continuing to work one on one with students to register for next year.  Information has been sent to students via email.  If you have any questions at all regarding registration, please contact your child's counselor or Mrs. Alex Vacarro in the counseling office.

After school tutoring continues this week.   If you missed the opportunity to sign up, contact Mrs. Lansche or Mr. Reifsnyder.

Students in grades 9-11 will be getting NEW Ipads starting on March 1st.  All specific details were included in an email sent to all students and parents.

Students need to bring their old device, cords and charging adapters on their Cohort day.
Those that have multiple cohort days should bring these items on their first day on campus.
This will be a lengthy distribution process so we thank you in advance for your patience.
Craven Live students will begin receiving new devices on Wednesday, March 10th.

New information for this week includes an exciting announcement.  I'm proud to share that HHS has earned the Purple Star Award for the second year in a row for our work with military students and their families.  A special virtual ceremony will be held in April and we are already planning activities for Month of the Military Child.

Also, seniors should check their email regarding WorkKeys testing and preparation.  Not all seniors take this test.  The ones required to test should have received an email from Mr. Snead with important information.

    This week in sports:

    Men's Soccer:

Monday - home vs Northside - JV 5, Varsity 6:30

Tuesday - home vs White Oak - Varsity at 6

Black History Month was one of a kind for Havelock High School this year. The Ram Family came together and celebrated all month long. On Wednesday, February 17, 2021 we came together for an amazing fun filled event. The Cultural Festival was full of exciting events for both students and staff. We learned about African American cultures, dances, food, music, art and more. Please click the Havelock High School Cultural Festival Celebration link below to enjoy a small portion of a joyous event.
