Mrs. Laura Scott
My name is Laura Scott and I work in the Exceptional Childrens area of Havelock Elementary School. I enjoy tremendously working with children, whether it is in the school system, community or the church. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from Campbell College and have been with Craven County Schools for 20 years. Originally from Long Island, New York, married and have a daughter that is a Social Worker and a son that is obtaining his graduate degree from ECU and presently works in Communication Department at ECU and a son in law that is in his first year at Brody Medical School. I am family oriented, enjoy traveling, love antiques and love animals. I have a tabby cat Izabella and a rabbit Binky. I am patient, understanding and persistent. This is my fifth year at HES working as a Teacher Assistant/ One on One. I have worked in this field for over 21 years and love what I do. I have lived in NC for over 16 years. I have one daughter and two grandchildren. I love to listen to Gospel Music. I enjoy being with family and friends.

Ms. Leah Knaggs
Hi friends! My name is Ms. Knaggs. I love working with the young children especially for their energy and immense imaginations. I am excited for a fantastic school year at HES!
I graduated with my B.S. in Human Services, and have experience as a substitute teacher and reading tutor, both in elementary. I started at HES last year as a reading tutor, and look forward to working with my EC team as a caregiver.
I have 3 teenage kiddos, all attending Havelock High as a senior, junior, and freshman. I love music and spend a lot of time volunteering with all my kids in the marching band at HHS. We have 5 pets: 3 cats and 2 dogs, Mikey and Pepper.
