    Regional Articulation in Career and Technical Education (RACE)

    While high school can be a big adjustment, it is important to approach everything positively.  Instead of just going through the motions, think not only about the present but the future as well.  Whether you choose to attend a community college or four-year university, serve in the armed forces, or enter into the work world, decisions made today will impact your tomorrow.
    One of the ways to accomplish this is by taking advantage of the opportunity to earn articulated college credit while you are in high school.  This is a great way to build a post-secondary transcript.  Credit offered through this RACE agreement may be available at community colleges throughout North Carolina.

  • Earning articulated credit is easy!

    Here’s how it works.  A student,

    1. Completes a Career-Technical Education class in their pathway while in high school;

    2. Earns an 93 or above on the CTE Post Assessment;

    3. Makes a B or better in the class;

    4. And completes a Craven Community College application within two years of high school graduation.
