Hi, my name is Sheryl Gilbert.  I'm very excited to work with your child and get to know you.  Here is a little bit of information about me.  I have a BS in Elementary Education in grades K-6 with a concentration in math and am certified to teach reading in grades K-12.  I have 22 years teaching experience.  I have taught Title 1 Reading, kindergarten, first grade, and pre-k.  I'm married and have a 10 year old daughter, 30 year old son, and 2 puppies.  I love spending time with my family, working out, dancing, and listening to my favorite music group New Kids On The Block :-)!  Teaching children has always been a passion for me.  I know we can accomplish great things together this year.  It takes all of us working together, school, home, and effort from your child, to help him/her be successful.  I want this year to be a positive experience for your child because having a positive kindergarten experience is key for your child's future outlook on school.  We are going to have an awesome year!
